Dr. Sarah Munce is an Implementation Scientist at the Bloorview Research Institute, Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital, affiliate Scientist at KITE- University Health Network, and faculty at the University of Toronto’s Rehabilitation Sciences Institute and the Institute of Health Policy, Management & Evaluation. Dr. Munce has recently (2025) been awarded an Implementation Science Chair by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) to advance her work on how young people and families are meaningfully engaged within learning health systems.
Her research focuses on improving transitional care for youth with complex needs and their families. Her research approach is a blend of implementation science, mixed methods, and co-design. She partners closely with youth and families to ensure her research is meaningful, practical, and driven by lived experience.
